  • Allergens from food dyes and additives
  • Environmental chemical toxins such as petrochemicals and xenobiotics
  • Dysbiosis (unhealthy bacteria) of the gut
  • Increased stress/abnormal cortisol production
  • Toxic metal exposure (mercury, cadmium, etc.)
  • Infection (dental, gastrointestinal, e.g.)
  • Hormone deficiencies (testosterone, DHEA, thyroid e.g.)
  • Genetic propensity towards IR and Metabolic Syndrome

genetic panel available

  • Proinsulin
  • Fasting Insulin
  • Glycoma
  • sD-LDL-P
  • Triglycerides
  • HDL-c Ratio

Liver & Kidney Health

Your kidney and liver detoxify your body of harmful pollutants from your everyday environment. Poor liver and kidney health can lead to chronic disease, unwanted weight gain, loss of energy and more.

  • BUN/Creatinine
  • AST & ALT
  • Total Bilirubin
  • Albumin
  • Total Protein
  • Cystatin C

Performance Hormones

Testosterone deficiency has numerous effects on muscle growth, fat storage, mood, and libido. We measure the biomarkers that indicate the cause of such hormone dysfunction.

  • DHEA
  • Free Testosterone
  • Testosterone
  • Estradiol
  • SHBG

Metabolic Hormones

This panel measures the body’s balance of stress and weight gain/loss, both of muscle and fat.

  • Cortisol
  • IGF-1 (Growth hormone surrogate)
  • Insulin
  • Genetic: MTHFR – 667
  • Genetic: MTHFR 1298

Thyroid & Blood Sugar

Diabetes and metabolic syndrome are among the fastest growing chronic diseases, and thyroid disease is the most common hormone imbalance.

  • Glucose
  • HbA1c
  • Triglycerides / HDL-C

Advanced Thyroid

This panel is an advanced assessment of the biomarkers related to your thyroid function. An imbalance can cause excess storage of energy, leading to weight gain and fatigue, or excess use of energy, leading to unhealthy weight loss and restlessness.

  • Total T4
  • T3 uptake
  • Free T4 Index
  • TSH
  • Total T3
  • Free T3
  • Reverse T3
  • Free T4
  • 25-Hydroxy Vitamin-D
  • Ferritin

Advanced Inflammation

This panel is an advanced assessment of the biomarkers related to systemic inflammation. These tests are useful to detect and monitor infection, injury, and certain inflammatory diseases.

  • hs-CRP
  • Fibrinogen
  • Homocysteine

Complete Blood Count & Advanced Nutrients

All cells and tissues in the body are dependent on the delivery of oxygen by your red blood cells. This panel provides a detailed assessment of your blood and essential nutrient levels.

  • Complete Blood Count with differential
  • Calcium
  • Electrolytes
  • Bicarbonate
  • Ferritin (serum)
  • Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC)
  • Folate
  • Vitamin B12
  • RBC Magnesium
  • 25-Hydroxy Vitamin-D

Women’s Reproductive Panel

This panel examines the biomarkers related to fertility and the overall function of female hormone and reproductive health.

  • Progesterone
  • Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
  • Luteinizing Hormone

Advanced Nutrients Panel

Essential nutrients deliver oxygen and nutrients via red blood cells to the rest of the body

  • 25-Hydroxy Vitamin-D
  • Calcium
  • Bicarbonate
  • Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC)
  • Folate
  • Vitamin B12
  • RBC Magnesium

Notable Markers

LDL-P and Particles

Size-associated with greater likelihood for entry into blood vessel wall where it can deposit content and form plaque.

ApoA1 and ApoB-ApoA1

Apoa1 and Apo-B-ApoA1 is the major HDL protein. Decreased Apo1 seen in patients with high saturated fat diets, inactivity, and central obesity. Is associated with increased risk of early cardiovascular disease. ApoB is the main measurable part of LDL. Increased ApoB contributes to atherosclerosis and is a better indicator of heart disease risk than LDL-C. Exception Ratio W/ ApoB

Lp(a)-increased Lp(a)

Highly associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD). Genetically determined. Gives a good idea of hidden CVD risk independent of LDL-C.

Homocysteine-increased homocysteine

Associated with increased atherosclerosis development.

Chronically elevated hs-CRP is equally or more predictive of myocardial infarction (heart attack) than traditional cholesterol panel.

Is a blood protein made in the heart and associated with increased risk for CVD and a weakening heart (congestive heart failure).

NMR Lipoprofile

The NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) Lipoprofile is a cholesterol test which provides comprehensive information than a standard Lipid Panel. This test includes measurements for Total Cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Triglycerides, Insulin Markers, Lipoprotein Particle Number and Size, and Lipoprotein Subfractions. This test, with the appropriate diagnosis and specialists can help prevent Cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, stroke, before it is too late.

The methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) mutation test is used to detect two relatively common mutations in theMTHFR gene that are associated with elevated levels of homocysteine in the blood.

Enzyme marker of atherosclerosis. Increased levels linked to increased risk for CVD and MI

Fibrinogen-enhances clotting

Increased level linked to increased risk for CVD and MI

Aldosterone ratio-enzymes control blood pressure via effects of blood vessel constriction and salt and water retention. Increased aldosterone in an independent risk factor for CVD.

Iron saturation/TIBC/ferritin

Increased iron correlates with increased risk for heart disease secondary to increased oxidative stress (imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability of the body to counteract their harmful effects through neutralization by antioxidants) and inflammation.

Microalbumin- Urine

Protein in spot urine indicative of early signs of endothelial dysfuntion (an imbalance between vasodilatind and vasoconstricting substances produced by or acting on the inner lining of the blood vessels). Microalbuminuria is highly correlative to future CVD.

Thyroid Panel

Including TSH, total and freeT4, TPO ab and freeT3, and thyroid antibodies-in addition to the thyroid significantly affecting metabolism and energy use, the heart is a major target of thyroid hormones. Changes in thyroid hormone levels will be responded to by the heart. Low T3 syndrome is a strong predictor of death in cardiac patients.

Free and total Testosterone and DHEA

S-low testosterone contributes to Insulin Resistance/Pre-diabetes, abnormal lipids, inflammation in blood vessel lining, and central obesity. Low DHEA-S is associated with increased death rate by MI and all causes.

Insulin Resistance

Panel-insulin resistance increase liability to develop CVD and diabetes.
